The residency will be open to the public:
Thursday 16th Jan: 4-7pm  (informal performance 6pm)
Friday 17th Jan: 11-1, 2-6pm  (informal performance 5pm)
Saturday 18th Jan: 11-1, 2-6pm  (informal performance 5pm)
Sunday 19th Jan: 12-4pm  (informal performance 3pm)

This residency uses sound, text, performance & mixed materials to explore the space & fabric of the Crypt & the stories & histories it contains. Installation & performance elements will accumulate & change throughout the residency, with informal scheduled performances each day. The working process is open: visitors are invited to experience the installation as it develops & chat to the artist; the informal performances will include discussion time afterwards.

Gavin Osborn is a flautist, composer & interdisciplinary artist. His work often responds to site & place, using combinations of performance, text, sound, visual & physical materials.  Often working collaboratively with other creators – especially Elizabeth Ditmanson, Rachel Graff & the Vonnegut Collective – he has made work for extraordinary spaces around the UK & elsewhere, including Victoria Baths (Manchester), Talliston House & Gardens (Essex), Gamla Linköping outdoor heritage centre (Sweden), Porthmeor Studios & Cellars (St Ives). Current work includes a project for London Wetland Centre, Barnes, as part of Unravelled’s Paradox series of commissions.
