Event Navigation

Open : 2-8 March 10am-4pm

Private View: 2 March 6-8pm

Although the forms of creation have become diverse, what remains unchanged is that the artists still use organic materials, but in the process of using them they make the materials richer, breaking away from and developing the tradition of ”substance“ or ”material“ to a larger extent, concept. They are providing a way of interpreting such imaginative landscapes through their artistic creations. Works of art not only have narrative and dramatic educational functions, but also have visual aesthetic or psychological functions in essence, rather than aestheticism.

How does the artist use the material to establish a relationship with the space through these five senses, and how does the artist use the material as a work of art to establish a connection with the circumstance? Can we categorize these sensory experiences as objective facts or as

collections of perceptions? Are different sensory experiences irreplaceable or transferable?

artHEXY invite artists to explore how their works transcend definitions of three-dimensional (or material) forms and enter into the language of sensory. In turn, their investigations exaimine the importance of material definitions and how we consider artworks in relation to function and purpose, and its situation within its environment.

art HEXY, a diaspora curatorial group, committed to focusing on emerging asian artists based in the UK. Excavating and displaying pan-Asian history and culture in various ways. In its mobility, it establishes an authentic connection with the people, carry out artistic exploration from different directions, and achieving a change from one state to another.
