Rooting Failure is an experiential, interactive installation using light and sound to create three subversive fail spaces that challenge the common understanding of failure and a contemplative exchange room to reflect upon and remix everyday life.
In a world that has replaced self-expression with its ostentation, authenticity with its imitation, sense of life with greater visibility, failure has been either censored as an evil to banish or subjected to the capitalistic attempt to repurpose everything for the sake of the myth of perfection.
But, how can failure, as an essential component of identity development, be de-stigmatised in a results-driven, anxiety-stricken society?
