Simone is an Australian-born artist with a BA in English Literature, a BA in Fine Art (Hons), and an MA in art education. She balances motherhood, art-making/research, and working on a foundation course in art and design at an inner-city London University. 

Simone’s art practice engages with drawing, poetry and sculpture, often using quotations to explore the relationship between language and art. During her residency at The Crypt, Simone will develop a new series of drawings, allowing the unique light, muted colours, and architectural forms of The Crypt to influence the resulting work.
