Black is an exhibition which explores the absence of light a Artistic-UK asks artists to explore the very darkest colour : black.
Black is the nonexistence of or complete absorption of light; it is the exact opposite of white. It is sometimes considered as a non-colour. It is characterised as a tragic, evil, deeply stained colour which can be both full of gloom or misery causing despair and pessimism.
“BLACK” is made up mainly of practitioners from artists group Artistic-UK. BLACK seeks to explore the very nature of the work of the artists involved by focusing on their practice and technique because everything else has been removed except for the notion of BLACK.
