Ovoo: Evocations

Ovoo: Evocations” is an immersive exhibition that offers visitors a captivating journey into the heart of Buryat-Mongol culture through the lens of Margarita Galandina. The exhibition showcases a collection of photographs, a soundscape, a short film, and oral histories that highlight the resilient spirit and rich heritage of the Buryat-Mongol people.

Margarita’s work is dedicated to preserving fading traditions and landscapes by visiting ancestral sites in Buryatia and Northern Mongolia. Through her art, she invites viewers to connect with the disappearing world of Indigenous Siberia.
