SUMMARY:Performance Art Residency with Felicia Kaspar
DESCRIPTION:Performance Art Residency with Felicia Kaspar22-30 NovemberOpen to the public:24-27 / 29-30 Nov: 1pm – 5pm PLEASE NOTE: Separate event happening 28 November - see our listings Workshops on 22nd Nov\, 23rd Nov\, 27th Nov\, 29th Nov at 5pm (approx. 1h30min)  30th Nov durational performance exhibition with small invited audience from 2pm – 5pm (also open to public!) Felicia Kaspar is a multidisciplinary artist and theatre maker who trained on the Contemporary Theatre course at East15 Acting school. Her work explores the intersection between performance art and theatre with a focus on physical storytelling. She is particularly interested in crafting immersive experiences and throughout the residency members of the public are invited to join her in the space and become part of the exploration. This residency is about process. How can we give shape to an unconscious collective mind through our specific\, often heightened individuality? How can we create a space that’s always fluid\, always new without feeling lost in the random chaos of creation? It’s also about exploring how different artistic processes can coexist and feed of each other and how they inevitably craft a new overarching identity. Artistic output is inextricably linked to the state of mind of the artist – how does a change in setup change artistic output? If one variable is altered the entire space is being transformed\, how does this translate into the work that is being created? Felicia will be working with several performers and artists that have been instrumental in developing her distinctive creative practice to discover new potential in already existing collaborations. She will also offer a number of workshops open to the public which are aimed at encouraging participants to discover their unique potential for artistic expression. These workshops are open to all and require no previous experience or particular level of fitness. It is up to the participant how they respond to the given stimuli. Felicia is particularly passionate about the unique flavour of each person’s individual form of physical expression and actively encourages people from non-movement backgrounds to join.
