Working with video footage\, I will experiment with light\, sound and spatial depth to see how the imagery dialogues with cavernous forms and surfaces.

DESCRIPTION:Alicja Żuk\n3rd-6th July 2025\nOpen: 1-5pm (or by appointment)\n\nWorking with a sense of place and memory\, I use found\, upcycled and foraged materials and plants to explore\, re-contain and embody personal and shared stories.\n\n‘Burnt Umber\, Pink Ochres and the Red Moon’ is a body of work in progress\, comprising primarily of oil paintings\, and a few drawings and baskets\, which speak in a language among themselves\, through symbols of: sycamore seeds\, flowers\, bones\, shells\, leaf structures\, landscapes\, husks\, natural pigments and miscellaneous objects.\n\nExhibiting these unfinished images at the Crypt Gallery is an attempt to retain their unresolved aspects\, as autonomous records of ideas being born and growing\, while using the space to see the works in conversation for the first time.
